What is Catechism?
The word catechism comes from the Greek word katēcheō, which broadly means: to instruct. Each week after Morning Worship we set set aside a little time for fellowship, then we have catechism. Sometimes we do this altogether, other times we have a couple classes to choose from.
In the past, this time has been used for teaching our confessions, the book of Joshua, our order of worship, singing in parts, bioethics, and the Apostle's Creed in the Heidelberg Catechism. Currently we have two classes going: one on the history of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, the other--primarily for children--is teaching through the Westminster Shorter Catechism. You can find resources for both classes on the right.
